Venue & Capacity

What is the layout and size of the venue?
The venue consists of three connected areas — the Common Area, the Main Area, and the Glass Room — totaling about 1,200 square feet.
How many people can the venue accommodate?
The venue comfortably holds about 50 people, with contracts typically allowing up to 75. Organizers recommend a maximum of 60 people including volunteers and hosts.
What kinds of events can be held at the venue?
The venue supports a variety of event types including socials, workshops, classes, crafting meetups, play parties, community gatherings, and educational events. Events do not have to be kink-specific.

Venue Pricing & Booking

How much does it cost to rent the venue?
Kink Center venue pricing varies by event type: arts and socials are free, classes use conditional pricing, and parties cost $75/hour. Kink Center donation-based pricing model aims to make the space free when monthly donations cover rent.
Are socials free at the venue?
Socials including hangouts, munches, and movie nights are free at the Kink Center venue, unless the event is ticketed.
How long does the venue reservation process take?
Kink Center venue reservations take approximately 3 days from initial request to confirmation, including time for staff review and agreements. The process includes venue consideration, staff questions, and signing agreements.

Accessibility & Health & Safety

Is the venue ADA accessible?
Kink Center venue has an ADA-approved entrance from Pike Street with a slight ramp, elevator access to the space, and two ADA-accessible bathrooms. Kink Center venue uses modern HVAC and COWAY HEPA air purifiers to maintain air quality.
What is the masking policy at the venue?
Morning events (before 5 pm) and all Friday events require masks (KN95 or better). Event hosts may set stricter mask policies but cannot override venue-wide requirements during designated times. All in-person Kink Center staff meetings require masks.
What air quality measures does the venue have?
Kink Center venue has a modern HVAC system that continuously cycles air, COWAY HEPA air purifiers, and windows that can be opened for increased ventilation.

Events & Calendar

What events does Kink Center host?
Kink Center hosts recurring BDSM and kink events including Kinky Crafting, Masked Mayhem play parties, Kinky Movie Night, and various educational events. Kink Center also supports community partner events at the venue.
When is Kinky Crafting?
Kinky Crafting happens every 1st Wednesday at 7pm (mask optional) and every 3rd Sunday at 2pm (mask required) at the Kink Center venue in Capitol Hill, Seattle.

What kinds of social gatherings are held at Kink Center?
Kink Center hosts a variety of social events and play parties such as masked art jams, play parties, mask-required DJ nights, rope socials, karaoke parties, support groups, and community meetups that create space for community interaction and play.

Policies & Rules

What rules must attendees follow at Kink Center events?
All event attendees must follow house rules enforced by event hosts, including consent practices, safety protocols, and venue-specific policies. Kink Center provides a downloadable PDF of attendee rules on our policies page.
What is required of event hosts?
Event hosts must understand and enforce venue rules, coordinate with an assigned Event Coordinator, provide setup labor, manage attendees, and leave the space clean after the event.
Can event hosts set their own rules?
Yes, event hosts can set rules that are equal to or more strict than Kink Center baseline rules. However, hosts may not allow activities that are prohibited by the venue.

How can I volunteer at Kink Center?
Kink Center accepts volunteers through the Volunteering Google Form. After submitting, you'll receive an automated email with next steps, and our team will proactively reach out to you. Volunteers help maintain the venue, assist event hosts with setup/teardown, receive training, and spread awareness of Kink Center.
