Our Mission In Steps
Kink Center creates and maintains an inviting and inclusive space for individuals within the Kink community. We provide resources, education, and opportunities for connection. We foster a supportive and accessible environment where people can explore, learn, and engage with their kink interests
#1 - Our Venue
We secured an accessible and conveniently-located space in Capitol Hill
We are actively working to enhance and better it for our community. We take care of it like it is our home. We want it to feel welcoming to all kinksters. We take pride in how accessible it is, both in terms of enabling all people to get inside safely and also how clean the air and environment is.
#2 - Our Team
We are a diverse, multi-cultural, and passionate volunteer team
We have roles and responsibilities and take them seriously. Our Directors want to see the community center thrive and meet the needs of as much of the community as possible, while adhering to our goals of serving and providing space for the under-served and under-presented parts of the kink community. We are stewards in this goal and we work together daily to do our best.
#3 - Financing
We want to believe in the good nature of a donation-based community center
Whenever possible, we allow event hosts to use the space for free. We specifically want to make the space free for socials, community gatherers, and meetings of kinksters. We would like to make the space free for workshops and classes, all the while making sure that educators are getting compensated fairly.
To accomplish this mission, we ask hosts of events that are freely using the venue to mention to their community what Kink Center stands for and that we are community-run, and community-financed. We acknowledge each and every dollar donated to us.
#4 - Growth
We want to go further with what we have
With community funding, we can grow the space we're in, getting access to more square footage, better supplies and furniture, and run more classes on sliding-scales or at no charge.

We would love to see monthly donations, even if it's $1/month!
