Incident Reports
Updated May 11 @ 2:16 PM

Kink Center has received first-party reports of harm involving a host who has rented our space. We are taking these reports seriously by looking into the harm experienced and working with all parties to ensure that our shared spaces remain a safe environment for everyone

We are not in a position to comment on specific individuals or events. We can be clear about our stances, regardless of who is involved. We do not condone:

  • Adding acts to a scene that were not negotiated beforehand

  • Continuing a scene through -- or failing to recognize -- a partner's safeword or tap-out

  • Photographing, filming, or sharing images of a scene without explicit consent

  • Bringing additional people into a scene without consent

  • Using a partner's mental health, trauma, or identity to discredit them when harm is raised

  • Physical violence that was not negotiated for by all parties

We hold our hosts to a higher standard than our attendees, because they are entrusted with the community's safety inside our walls. While we investigate and learn more, we’ve decided to take the following actions:

  1. The event host in question has been notified that their events are on hiatus through June 6th, pending final decisions by the Kink Center directors team on or before June 6th

  2. We practice a call-in culture, and we’re providing the event host in question this time to tell their story and choose their future path. Through the hiatus period, Kink Center Directors will review the actions, statement, or other communications from the community and the event host in question. As a team, Kink Center will then decide if we believe the event host models our desires for community safety in our space, and whether we want to allow future events from them to occur here. No matter our choice, we hope that the event host can recognize the harm and take steps towards correction and prevention for the future

  3. We will continue to be in contact with the reporters, and we will evaluate our space, policies, and practices to make our community space safer for everyone
